CCP 2010 Mitsubishi World Masters Golf Championship
 
TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR THE 2010 MITSUBISHI WORLD MASTERS GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP
 
1. By signing the entry form or registering online, entrants acknowledge they have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions.

2. The 2010 Mitsubishi Motors World Masters Golf Championship (‘The Championship’) shall be under the management and control of the Tournament Committee, whose decision on all matters relating to the Championship will be final.

3. The Championship will be a 72 hole single stableford event. ‘A’ grade golfers will also be eligible to compete for a 72 hole ‘gross’ event. Competition rounds will be conducted on Monday 25 October, Tuesday 26 October, Thursday 28 October and Friday 29 October 2010.

4. Golfers will be drawn to play at all four of the host courses. Course allocations will be notified with the official program posted out on 13 October 2010. All golfers will be drawn to play two morning and two afternoon rounds. A separate draw for playing partners will be conducted for each round. We can provide you with the same start times each day as your friends but cannot guarantee the same courses.

5. The event age categories for both men and women will be: 35 – 49, 50 – 59, 60+ and 70+ (men only)
    Note: Players must be within the appropriate age category as at the first day of play – Monday 25 October 2010.

6. Within each age category, the handicap divisions for the tournament will be:
    Men A grade 0 to 13; B grade 14 to 19; C grade 20 to 30
    Ladies A grade 0 to 19; B grade 20 to 40
    Players with higher handicaps must play off the maximum permitted handicap.

7. Competitors must have an official handicap. (endorsed by Golf Australia or the international equivalent) Your slope handicap index will be converted to a tournament handicap at tournament registration. Players must present at tournament registration a current handicap card signed after 18 October 2010 by an authorised club official. Print-outs from GolfLink and approved handicap web sites will also be accepted.

8. Handicap adjustments (reductions only) will be made after each tournament round for players scoring better than the course rating.

9. Trophies for the 72 hole event will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placegetters in each age/handicap division. Winners are determined by the highest aggregate of stableford points over the four competition rounds. Trophies will be awarded to the winner of the 72 hole single stroke ‘gross’ event in each age division. Players may only win one trophy.

10. Go Golfing has approved the use of distance measuring devices at the Mitsubishi Motors World Masters. Go Golfing recommends the new SureShot GPS and has a special offer exclusive to tournament entrants.

11. All events will be conducted in accordance with the rules of golf and such local rules as approved by the tournament committee.

12. In the event that weather conditions prevent all players from finishing their round, that competition round will be cancelled and the Championship reduced accordingly. If the course you are scheduled to play is closed or players complete less than 12 holes, golfers in that draw will receive a voucher for a round of golf including cart at that course (voucher valid for 12 months).

13. Additional Golf Events – SUNDAY 24 OCTOBER 4BBB Stableford – Robina Woods (12 noon); WEDNESDAY 27 OCTOBER Hope Island ‘Skins’ – Hope Island (7.30am or 12.45pm); SATURDAY 30 OCTOBER Callaway 2 Person Ambrose – Robina Woods (8.30am). Entries for these events are strictly limited and organisers reserve the right to refuse entry if capacity is exceeded. There will be no refund for players cancelling within 48 hours of any event. For these additional golf options, if the course is closed or weather conditions restrict players to less than 12 holes, golfers will receive a voucher for a round of golf at the selected course.

14. A deposit of A$200 must accompany each entry. The balance of all fees must be paid before 1 October 2010. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to refuse entry should capacity be exceeded.

15. Refund applications received in writing before 1 October 2010 will be subject to a $30 administration charge. Cancellations between 1 October and 23 October will incur a $100 cancellation fee. No refunds will be processed for cancellations after 23 October. Note: Refunds on accommodation will be subject to the standard terms and conditions of the accommodation property.

16. Entry applications with minimum deposit payment received before 31 July will receive a $70 discount on the full entry fee, one dozen Callaway Big Bertha ‘Diablo’ golf balls (issued at registration) and a bonus entry in the major prize draw.

17. The ‘Major Prize Draw’ will be conducted by a Mitsubishi Motors representative on Saturday 30 October 2010 at Jupiters Gold Coast. All registered golfers and non golfing partners will gain entry in the draw. Additional draw entries will be awarded for entries received before 31 July, past entrants, referrals, daily golf winners and Cancer Council raffle winners.
      Drawing Procedure – At approximately 9pm ten tickets will be drawn with those ten people to come up on stage. If the person is not present, there will be a redraw until 10 people are on stage. The ten names will then be placed in a barrel for the second stage of the drawing. In the second draw, the first name drawn will be placed in prize envelope number one. This process will be repeated for prizes two to ten. The prizes will then be presented from tenth prize through to first prize which is the Mitsubishi Lancer. All prizes are subject to terms and conditions.

18. All prizes will be distributed in accordance with the rules of amateur golf status.

19. Go Golfing may arrange media promotion and publicity before, during and after the Championship. Competitors assent to pictures of them appearing and being used for purposes determined by Go Golfing.

20. The tournament committee may at its discretion amend or add any condition of the Championship.

21. To drive a motorised cart, competitors agree to possess a current driver’s license and have previous experience driving a golf cart equal to a minimum of four rounds. In the event of an accident, the driver is responsible for the costs to repair the cart and any property damaged as well as being liable for any personal injury claims.

22. By signing the Indemnity Disclaimer on the tournament entry form or registering online, competitors agree to participate in the Mitsubishi Motors World Masters Golf Championship at their own risk. The tournament committee, Go Golfing, sponsors, host golf clubs and other suppliers of goods and services accept no liability for any death, injury, property loss or damage incurred during or arising out of any aspect of the conduct of the Championship.
