Technique: Lampworking

Learn these fundamentals and techniques in Lampworked Glass Bead Bracelet
•  Use of a lampworking torch
  •  Basic bead making
  •  Bead decorating
In this workshop students will be introduced to the basics of lampworked glass bead making. we will make simple beads and shape and decorate them, we will make beads with silver foil and we will end the day by assembling our beads into a bracelet. You will complete this project in class.

Materials you are required to bring: None. Wear long hair in a ponytail/secured. Natural fiber clothing and close-toed shoes.

Learn these fundamentals and techniques in Beginner Lampworked Glass Beads
•  Using a lampworking torch
  •  Making a basic glass bead
  •  Making a decorated glass bead
  •  The use of silver foil in a glass bead
Learn what lampworking is all about! In this workshop students will learn to make their own glass beads using centuries-old Venetian techniques. We will make beads with surface decorations, encased and shaped beads and we will incorporate silver and copper leaf into the beads. You will complete this project in class.

Materials you are required to bring: None. Wear long hair in a ponytail/secured. Natural fiber clothing and close-toed shoes.

•  Lampworking on copper wires
  •  Lampworking simple leaf and berry shapes
  •  Lampworking simple and complicated flower shapes
In this workshop students will learn techniques to make simple and complicated lampworked glass flowers and leaves, berries and pods. we will talk about techniques to assemble flowers into a necklace. You will complete this project in class.

Basic Skills Needed: Basic lampworking skills are required for this class

Materials you are required to bring: None. Wear long hair tied back/in a ponytail. Natural fiber clothing and closed toe shoes.
