The PT program at FCHS is accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The vision of the Department of Physiotherapy at FCHS is to be recognized as an outstanding physiotherapy educational program through academic excellence, regional health, health promotion, and health care delivery in UAE.
The bachelor degree Physiotherapy is5 years program and based on a fully integrated curriculum that includes interdisciplinary studies. In Year 1, the curriculum is structured around patient centered learning. Conditions, for which people typically seek physiotherapy, provide the context for integrating learning about biomedical sciences and physiotherapy skills. In the later years of the course, the focus moves from campus based patient scenarios and observational visits, to learning in a clinical environment. Graduates develop a skill set and are well-equipped to continue learning. The department is committed to produce skilled, dedicated, world class physiotherapists who will have clinical core competencies, hands-on skills, and deep knowledge of physiotherapy practice.
