Each of the LPD instructors are members of Scientech’s Nuclear Regulatory Services (NRS) Team. On a daily basis, they:
- Screen, synthesize and report on technical and licensing information from all industry sources.
- Provide accurate and timely data to 80+ nuclear industry companies, worldwide.
- Interface with clients to provide client-specific regulatory research assistance. Completed research aids clients in effectively dealing with the regulator and provides insight for utility management decision-making. Client base includes greater than 85% of the nuclear units in the United States and a host of international companies
Jairo Pinzon
Sr. Principal Engineer, LIS
Mr. Pinzon is an industry expert in licensing and regulatory assurance with over 26 years of experience. Before joining Scientech in 1997, he held regulatory and licensing engineer positions at TVA (Bellefonte and Browns Ferry) and the South Texas Project. In these roles he was responsible for FSAR, Improved Technical Specifications, and event reporting. He also received an SRO Management Certification from STP in 1996. Mr. Pinzon holds a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering degree from the University of Florida.

Ms. Raleigh’s extensive NRC knowledge and understanding of the regulatory process qualifies her as an industry expert in regulatory trends and NRC actions. With over 22 years of experience in the nuclear industry, Ms. Raleigh regularly communicates NRC and industry activities through three of Scientech’s main publications: LIS Meetings, Part 52 Review, and LISTEN.
Robert Sweet

Mr. Sweet began his nuclear career as a US Navy submarine sailor. He then joined South Carolina Electric and Gas Co. during construction of V. C. Summer Nuclear Station and remained there for 26 years. During that time, he held various positions in operations, quality assurance, corrective action and licensing/compliance. He is currently an expert in the area of NRC inspection and compliance.
