Paul has worked in procurement since 1981, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, as well as being a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Paul has extensive experience as a practitioner, academic and consultant in procurement, both in Europe and across Asia-Pacific. Paul is chair of two committees of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, the Knowledge and Thought Leadership Group and also the annual CIPSA Awards judging committee.

Nigel has over 30 years experience as both a business owner & a senior executive of a Fortune 500 company. His first business, The Forum Organization, grew to become Australia’s largest Incentive Marketing, Event Management & Sponsorship Management company & eventually sold to Carlson Marketing. After establishing Carlson Marketing’s presence in Asia as an Executive Vice President, Nigel then headed up Sales & Marketing across Asia for ITT Sheraton Asia Pacific to eventually Managing Director Sales for Asia Pacific for the newly merged Starwood Hotels & Resorts. In 2001 Nigel once again established his own business, The MINT Organization, opening offices in 5 global cities & successfully selling it to BI Worldwide in 2012. Nigel is currently Vice President- Global Business for BI Worldwide & also the Inaugural President of the ICESAP.

Representing the Pacific Region for STR Global, Matthew works with clients to grow the sample and educate the industry with the latest hotel market trends. With more than 46,000 hotels participating in their hotel performance surveys, STR Global provides historical hotel market performance trends and forecasted supply and demand dynamics for the hotel industry. Matthew holds Hotel & Business Management degrees from Griffith University and has 12 years experience in the hotel industry working in multiple Australian cities as a revenue manager.



Helene is a commercially savvy, entrepreneurial, strategic leader who is inspired by making a difference in the life of others. It is this inspiration that has driven her to the creation of recently launched JITO; an online platform and community for Travel & Hospitality Industry which has only just recently launched. Helene's career included - CEO & Co/Owner of TMS Asia Pacific (the region’s leading Travel Industry Recruitment Agency) where she was personally involved as a Global Head Hunter and is renowned for placing many of the Confidential Senior Executives roles in the Australian Travel Industry.

Johnny Thorsen - Global Travel Technology Evangelist

Renown as a Global Travel Technology Evangelist, Johnny is the global product & strategy owner for Concur Messaging based in San Francisco. Being at the forefront of the mobile travel technology revolution, he spent the 6 years prior as the co-founder & CEO of conTgo, focusing on “point of experience” software for corporate travellers, while maintaining his strong links to the travel procurement & security areas. Concur purchased conTgo in 2013. Johnny has also held a range of senior positions in the travel technology industry such as Travelport, Sabre, HRG & CWT, being named as one of the 25 most influential people in the global business travel industry by the US-based BTN magazine in 2011.
