Yael Kaufman is a software developer and consultant at ThoughtWorks, a pioneering global technology company. Prior to joining ThoughtWorks, Yael worked as a computer science teacher and a recruiting and hiring consultant for Girls Who Code, a nonprofit aiming to close the gender gap in computer science. As an undergraduate, Yael founded a campus organization for queer and trans students in technology, engineering, and math. Yael has focused much of her work on making the confluence of CS and queerness a safer and more comfortable space, whether in higher education, nonprofit, or industry.
