Kathleen Shoga works for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s (LLNL) Livermore Computing (LC) division deploying site-wide monitoring to the supercomputing clusters to gather performance and other data. She has also done Linux kernel coding, library coding, and works on software tools. Kathleen graduated with a BS in Computer Science from University of the Pacific in 2015; she interned at LLNL for two years before converting to a full time employee. Supercomputing’s student cluster challenge introduced her to the world of high performance computing (HPC). She was part of the first all-women student cluster challenge team called Team Venus at SC12 and she led the team at SC13.
