Why Fredericksburg:
Fredericksburg is an International Dark Sky Community - one of fewer than forty in the world. This rural location ensures a dazzling view of the night skies above. Learn more here. Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Texas Hill Country, Fredericksburg offers a central location, equidistant to Austin and San Antonio airports. Located deep in the path of totality and with favorable weather conditions, Fredericksburg will experience a whopping 4 minutes and 24 seconds of totality. And, historical weather patterns indicate a high likelihood of clear skies compared with other regions in the path of totality.
