AUPresses Exhibit Dates: June 19 & 20 Exhibitor Information

 

Location

The 2022 AUPresses Annual Meeting and Exhibits will be held in Washington, DC at the Marriott Marquis Washington, DC. The Exhibits will be in the Marquis Ballroom of the Marriott. Six 30-minute coffee breaks will be held in the Exhibit Hall.

 

Benefits

All exhibiting companies will be listed on the Association’s website and in the meeting program distributed on-site. Coffee Breaks will be held in the Exhibit area. A list of meeting registrants will be sent to Exhibitors a few weeks before the meeting upon request. For an additional fee, exhibitors can advertise in the registrants e-newsletter (space is limited).

 

Exhibit Hours

Set-up

Sunday, June 19 - 6:00 to 9:00 a.m.

Exhibits Open

Sunday, June 19 - 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Monday, June 20 - 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Tear Down

Monday, June 20 - 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Non-competing Hours

Coffee breaks will be held the exhibit hall.

 

Fees and Payment

General Rate: $2000 (rates do not include attendance at group meals)

Partner Rate: $1,300 (rates do not include attendance at group meals)

Fees include one six-foot draped table and two chairs, access to WiFi and registration for two representatives. (There will be additional charges for any electrical and audio visual needs.)

If a company would like to send more than two representatives, additional representatives will be required to pay the appropriate meeting registration fee (day passes are available).

 

Insurance

Neither the Association of University Presses nor the Marriott Marquis Washington, DC provide insurance for exhibited materials. If you wish to have coverage for your materials, you must contact an insurance agent directly.

 

Security

Each exhibiting company is responsible for safeguarding its goods, materials, equipment and exhibit booth at all times. AUPresses is not responsible for loss of or damage to any property.

 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing between April 26 and May 24 will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee. No refunds for cancellations received after May 24, 2022.

Speakers and sessions may change without notice. In the unlikely event of meeting cancellation, AUPresses is not responsible for any costs, damages, or other expenses incurred by the exhibitor.

 

Prize Drawings

Increase traffic to your tables by donating items for a prize drawing. Let us know if you will contribute, and the Association will help promote your participation. Popular prizes include e- readers, tablets, gift cards, and service discounts.

 

Shipping

Exhibitors will be able to ship directly to the Marriott Marquis Washington, DC. Handling charges will apply. Additional information will be sent to exhibitors with instructions in April.

 

Electrical/AV/Internet Information

There will be an additional charge for exhibitors with electrical and audio-visual needs. Exhibitors will order directly from the Marriott’s provider Encore. Order forms and additional information will be sent to exhibitors after registration.

Exhibitors will have access to the meeting’s WiFi network for no additional charge.

Conference WiFi is likely insufficient for streaming and heavy graphics. Exhibitors who require additional bandwidth should contact Encore at the Marriott and are responsible for all costs.

Attendee Lists

Exhibitors may receive a complimentary list of registered attendees the last in May and a few days after the meeting concluded to do ONE pre-and--post-meeting mailing. You will only receive information for attendees who opt in to receive the information. Exhibitors may not use these lists for future marketing. Companies must adhere to appropriate privacy and data laws. An order form for the attendee will be provided to exhibiting companies in April.

 

Sponsorship Opportunities

Increase your visibility and help support the meeting by becoming an AUPresses Sponsor. A number of opportunities are available. Sponsors will be recognized on the Association’s website, in the registrants’ newsletter, in the printed program, and on signs during the sponsored event. Please note that we give you a 48 hour grace period to complete the registration for your table top. After that time, the table will go back into general inventory and you registration information will be lost.
