Welcome to the 25th Annual BTOG Conference 2027 Abstract System

You are invited to submit your original, previously unpublished, research or audit carried out by your department or group as a poster abstract.

The abstract maximum is 300 words - any references also form part of the total word count. The abstract title is not included in the word count and in addition you can include one diagram or table. Please note the published abstracts will be in black and white print only.

BTOG’s position on encore abstracts is that an abstract/poster submitted/presented at another conference and then submitted to BTOG 2027 must contain additional information or data to the original and the previous submission/presentation must be declared on the submission. Although case reports can be submitted for consideration, these are generally only accepted if there is a significant learning point associated with the case or series of cases.

All submitted abstracts will be considered for an oral presentation. By submitting an abstract, we would ask that one of the authors commit to delivering an oral presentation in the Annual Conference if selected

Abstract submission deadline is Monday 7th December 2026 23:59 GMT.
Abstract notification 11th January 2027.

BTOG 2027 posters will be presented in-person at the conference.  Posters will need to be up and available for viewing by latest 12:00 noon on Wednesday 3rd March 2027 – there will be a formal poster viewing and welcome reception at 18:30 – 20:00 on Wednesday.  Posters should be available for viewing on Wednesday 3rd March and until 18:00 on Thursday 4th March.  BTOG is working to provide an option for printing and shipping of fabric posters and information will be added as soon as available.

Please note that the Abstract Site is not compatible with Internet Explorer; we recommend using Chrome where possible.
