ORGANISATIONAL EXCELLENCE AWARD 2026-27

 

The Organisational Excellence Award recognises outstanding organisational initiatives, programs and practices that deliver measurable improvements within the Australian water sector.

The award celebrates excellence in organisational performance, leadership, workforce development, collaboration, customer and community outcomes, sustainability, operational improvement and industry contribution.

Initiatives may be internally or externally focused and demonstrate meaningful outcomes for organisations, customers, communities, partners or the broader water sector.


This award is open to any Australian Water Association corporate member.

Submission Criteria for this award:  
• Describe the challenge, opportunity or need that led to the initiative, including its objectives and intended outcomes. (250 words)
• Explain how the initiative contributes to the Australian water sector and supports a sustainable and prosperous future. (250 words)
• Describe how the initiative demonstrates excellence and/or innovation, including any leadership, collaboration, organisational improvements or unique approaches adopted. (250 words)
• Demonstrate the outcomes and benefits achieved through the initiative, including social, economic, environmental, cultural and/or organisational impacts. Provide evidence where possible. (250 words)
• Provide evidence of the initiative's impact, influence, recognition, adoption, organisational improvement or broader contribution to the water sector. (250 words)
 
Items to accompany your submission:
• Provide a testimonial from a beneficiary, participant, customer, employee, partner, stakeholder or adopter that demonstrates the value and impact of the initiative. (500 words uploaded as a PDF)
• Lead-organisation bio
• 3 x images to be used in awards presentation
