  • Virtual: The virtual challenge will be hosted via Zoom. The Zoom room will be sent to the registrants the week prior to the challenge via email.

You are invited to join Arizona State University for the eighth annual Cybersecurity Challenge (Virtual event)

This event brings talented minds from Arizona high schools and colleges together to solve challenging, real-world problems that today’s cyber professionals, digital forensic scientists, and network/security/system engineers face.

This year the event organizers will host a cybersecurity bootcamp before the challenge to teach the basic concepts and principles of cybersecurity and digital forensics, and introduce practical tools and open source systems for traffic analysis and deep packet investigation.

The Cybersecurity Bootcamp includes:

  • Introduction to Linux Operating System
  • TCP/IP and Networking Fundamentals
  • Overview of Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics

The Cybersecurity Challenge includes:

  • Digital forensic analytics for detecting and analyzing cyber-attacks.dentifying and patching a series of cross-layer vulnerabilities in the networking devices or end systems.
  • Analyzing the structure, content, behaviors and potential damage of mysterious executables and virus/worm packets.

Full Day Registration:

  • 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM Bootcamp (event opens)
  • 9:00 AM – 9:50 AM Welcome and Keynote Speech
  • 9:50 AM - 10:00 AM Break (feel free to walk, stretch, get a snack)
  • 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Cybersecurity Bootcamp
  • 12:00 AM – 1:00 PM Lunch Break (go grab lunch, we will be back at 1:00 PM)
  • 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM Cybersecurity Challenge
  • 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM Final Scoring (We will be offline during this time)
  • 5:00PM - Awards (join us back at the same link!)

Half Day Registration:

  • 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM Challenge Registration (event opens)
  • 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM Cybersecurity Challenge
  • 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM Final Scoring (We will be offline during this time)
  • 5:00PM - Awards (join us back at the same link!)

  • Open to High School through College Students
  • Registration will close once all spots are full
