The Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON) Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Course provides a comprehensive review of the knowledge needed to administer cytotoxic and biotherapeutic agents to infants, children and adolescents. Upon successful completion of the course, an on-line post-test, and course evaluation, registered nurses will receive an APHON Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Card. This card validates the RN has the theoretical foundation needed to administer cytotoxic and biotherapeutic agents to pediatric patients. The card is valid for two years. This is NOT a certification course. The didactic session is not intended to measure RN clinical competency.
Registration Information:
- The registration must be pre-approved by the manager who supervises KP Pediatric Oncology services in either inpatient or outpatient areas.
- Attendees are required to bring a calculator with square root function capability.
- No walk-in registration will be accepted.
- The attendee must complete an online post test within 2 business days of attending the course and required clinical training within 60 days after successfully passing the post test.
- Priorities will be given to Kaiser Permanente Southern CA Region Pediatric RNs mandated by current job/position to administer pediatric chemotherapy and who are new to this course.
- This is not a renewal course, those with current APHON provider cards may audit the course on a space available bases.

Kaiser RNs: $90.00
The registrations fee will be forwarded to the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses. Registration fee shall be paid in full before registration deadline. Failure to make proper payment arrangement in advance may result in cancellation of the registration.

Cancellation / Refund Policy:
- All cancellations must be made in writing, via e-mail to Abelino.Del-Real@kp.org
NO refunds will be made for cancellations after February 21, 2019.
Registration fee is not transferable to other or toward future classes.
Continuing Education Credit:
APHON will award 13.75 contact hours to nurses who attend this program in its entirety. APHON is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
