Washington Days 2025

The National Bleeding Disorders Foundation's Washington Days is an opportunity for people affected by inherited blood disorders to advocate for issues that are important to them. We look forward to meeting with legislators and staff in person with hundreds of volunteer advocates across the United States to discuss issues important to our community.

Given the 2024 election and the many changes coming to Washington, NBDF is still working to determine the specific issues we will discuss at Washington Days 2025. We can say with certainty that NBDF's top priority is to advocate for policies that protect and strengthen access to affordable, high-quality health insurance and access to care for all members of the bleeding disorders community. Check back soon for more information on our issues for Washington Days 2025.

Please read through this page for registration, meals, hotel accommodations, airline discounts, and mobile app information to better acquaint yourself with and prepare for NBDF's biggest advocacy event.

How to Attend and Advocate
Washington Days 2025 will be a fully in-person event and registration is required to attend. We anticipate Washington Days to be a full-capacity event, and we will only accept registrations until Friday, January 17, 2025, subject to the number of attendees registered. There will be no registration on-site.

To help make this gathering possible, we ask that each adult contribute a nominal registration fee of $25.00. This will help offset the costs of registration and meals.

Registration
We encourage bleeding disorders community advocates to coordinate with their local chapters to help us better manage registration and state representation.

For those not affiliated with a chapter, please revisit this page on January 9, 2025 when we open general registration. For any questions, email Nathan Schaefer at nschaefer@bleeding.org.

For pharmaceutical and biotech industry partners and sponsors, please email Johanna Ong at jong@bleeding.org.

NBDF's Infectious Disease Duty of Care

NBDF is committed to creating a safe and healthy environment for all our community members: consumers, chapters, providers, presenters, exhibitors, and staff. However, while vaccinations, negative COVID tests, observance of safety protocols, and exercise of personal discipline may reduce risk, an inherent risk of exposure to infectious disease does remain in any public place where people are present. Additional information can be found on NBDF’s Infectious Disease Duty of Care.
