This course will provide a refresher of the basic techniques of ABO, Rh and antibody problem solving. Participants will gain a better understanding of:
- Major antibody/antigen reactions
- How to select appropriate testing and identification methods
- How to select appropriate donor units of blood
This is a remote learning course and will require participants to provide interactive dialog via online chat and audio response. Participants must be available to attend virtually both days of the course to earn CEUs.
Eligible Participants: This training symposium is a basic course in blood bank techniques and is targeted for those who are just entering, reentering, or infrequently work in the blood bank section. The intended audience is Clinical Laboratory Scientists (CLS). Supervisory personnel are welcome.
