WELCOME!

SCPMG Physician Wellness and Peer Support is proud to announce the 2025 Care for the Caregiver Conference, on Friday, September 5, 2025, at the Sheraton Park Anaheim Resort.

This conference will explore healthy ways to cope with day-to-day demands and stresses, offer space for robust interactive peer discussions, and equip physicians with practical and evidence-based strategies to better care for themselves, their colleagues, and their patients.

Due to overwhelmingly positive feedback, the 2025 conference will feature the same script and our CareActors, with facilitation by our Clinician Patient Communication leaders, Dr. Raymond Huang, Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine from Orange County and Dr. Teri Kim, Family Medicine from Baldwin Park during the morning session.

In the afternoon, Dr. Helen Bashoura, Psychiatrist and Physician Lead for Baldwin Park’s Peer Support Program, will give an interactive talk on “Navigating Uncertainty.”

What attendees had to say about the 2024 conference:

  • Amazing conference!
  • Would 10/10 recommend!
  • Life changing!
  • It’s important to our KP culture that all [doctors attend] this at one point.
  • We need to build resilience at work to prevent burnout.
  • So impactful to learn you are not alone in feeling burned out and stressed, and to give yourself grace and praise for all that you do as an SCPMG provider.
  • I would recommend [this conference] to those like me who are feeling overwhelmed at times at work and with life. Nice to know that we're not alone…[and] good to have resources to deal with issues.
  • The content provided valuable insights into understanding the diverse needs of others. It served as a reminder of the importance of balancing work and home life, offered opportunities to meet new people, and created a space for deep introspection.
  • It was a great opportunity for us as group to share our frustrations, challenges in an open and safe space while also discussing how we can make changes for the better.

If you are seeking ways to balance your well-being and practice and did not attend the 2024 conference, we encourage you to attend in 2025!

Hope to see you there!
