Note: This course is two days. Participants must be available to attend both days of the course to earn CEUs.

Day 1 Lessons:

  • ABO Groups, Subgroups and 
    Discrepancies 
  • Rh Discrepancies
  • Antibody sensitization, classes, characteristics
  • Clinically Significant Antibodies 
  •  Antibody identification
    o DAT negative samples
  • Proper interpretation of panel and screening cell results
  • Take home wet work for antibody identification

Day 2 Lessons:

  • Review of take home projects
  • Antibody identification
  • o   DAT positive samples

    • Antibody ID panel exercises and case studies
    • Cold reacting antibodies
    • Selecting appropriate donor units
