SESSION OVERVIEW
The IIA Vancouver Chapter and the ISACA Vancouver Chapter are pleased to announce our annual 1-day Information Technology Symposium.
The IIA Vancouver Chapter and ISACA Vancouver Chapter have a longstanding tradition of jointly hosting an Audit and Technology event. This in-person event gathers senior leadership and subject matter experts from the technology and audit industries to discuss cutting edge topics that are relevant and important in today’s digital world.
The topics covered will benefit auditors, technologists, risk practitioners and cybersecurity personnel. In fact, Cybersecurity is one of the most important technology discussions at the Board level. As our attendees you will gain valuable knowledge that you can take back to your workplace, as well as CPE credits.
The one-day event will include speakers, a panel discussion, as well as light breakfast, lunch and refreshments.
Space is limited to 70 attendees.

During this session, the speakers will discuss how audit plans could be tailored to cover the use of Generative AI Technologies, but also how auditors can leverage AI tools to enhance efficiency and audit quality.

Cloud Security assessments
During this session, the speakers will discuss Cloud Security Assessments and the role of Internal Audit.

Cybersecurity panel discussion
The panel will discuss the latest trends with threat actors and how organizations can prepare organizations to deal with an incident, as well as best practices implemented by organizations for prevention and detection of incidents.

Third-party risk: Vulnerabilities in third-party vendors and supply chain partners
Current trends and best practices for third party risk mitigation.
