overview

Severe atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) is often diagnosed too late, with significant arterial damage and a high risk of major adverse coronary events (MACE). Urgent identification and treatment of high-risk patients are critical to interrupt the atherosclerotic process and prevent life-threatening events, particularly acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Intensive lipid lowering, especially targeting low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), can stabilize coronary plaques. Get ahead of the curve and join our distinguished panel of experts who will guide you in identifying patients at high risk of an ACS event and implementing evidence-based intensive lipid-lowering strategies to reduce CV risk.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

To attend this symposium, whether in person or virtually, you must first register directly with the ESC CONGRESS 2025.

This educational activity is intended for an audience of cardiologists, primary care physicians, and diabetologists/endocrinologists based outside of the United States.

GOAL STATEMENT

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to understand the benefits of early, intensive LDL-C lowering for patients with ACS and for those at high risk of an ACS event and to utilize currently available therapeutics to achieve target LDL-C goals to reduce CV risk.
