Professional Development Series: A New Era of Space to Benefit Planet EarthThe Professional Development Series is designed to bring distinguished Thunderbird faculty to share their insights, experiences, and perspectives with incoming Thunderbird students. These lectures provide valuable opportunities for attendees to learn from accomplished professionals, gain real-world knowledge about global trends and challenges, and engage in thought-provoking discussions on topics relevant to the ever-evolving field of global management. The series underscores Thunderbird's commitment to providing a holistic education that goes beyond traditional classroom instruction, offering alumni and students exposure to diverse perspectives and real-world experiences that prepare them to tackle global challenges and make a positive impact in their careers and communities. About the session: We are witnessing a new era in human history, made possible by low-cost access to outer space. Satellite constellations provide a fresh perspective on our communities, enabling precision agriculture, better water management, and new business opportunities. Ambitious plans to explore the Moon and Mars have inspired the imaginations of people worldwide. This new frontier is also shaped by complex geopolitical dynamics that underscore the need for leaders who will navigate the unknown with integrity and ensure that the future of space serves all of humanity.
