The IIA Detroit Chapter will be facilitating a peer-to-peer exchange to discuss risk and internal audit topics and issues that are top of mind. The premise is to discuss topics chosen by you in an interactive roundtable discussion format, with additional input from Grant Thornton SMEs in the respective topical areas. This is where the primary value of the session kicks in as your peer group discusses how they are approaching the subject, the lessons learned, best practices, etc.
The IIA Detroit Chapter, in partnership with Grant Thornton, is hosting the invitation only in-person event at Valentine Distilling Co. in Ferndaleon Wednesday, June 25th (new date) from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Below is a picture of the private room that we have secured at the venue.
Agenda:
4:00 to 4:30 pm socialize and enjoy a craft cocktail and appetizers.
4:30 to 5:30 pm discuss the 3 to 5 most popular topics that are top of mind of the peer group
5:30 to 6:00 pm socialize, enjoy a craft cocktail and wrap things up
To respect the time commitment of participants in this session and to achieve the intended learning objectives, this invitation is extended only to Chief Audit Executives (associated with organizations belonging to our chapter membership) and one additional CAE designated representative. It is recommended that CAE’s representative be a current leader in their organization (e.g., IA Manager, IA Lead Senior, etc.), as this is an opportunity for the designee to further prepare them for a future role as a CAE. Other chapter members should not register for this event.
Please indicate 1) if you would be interested in attending the session and 2) your topic of interest around which you would like to have a discussion. Please click on the link below to complete a brief survey, which should only take a couple minutes of your time. To ensure we can best plan for the event, we are now asking that you respond to the survey by June 6th.
Once we see you have completed the survey and shown an interest in joining us, we will send you a calendar invite.
If you have any initial questions before the roundtable discussion, please feel free to reply to this email or contact Amber Dunn-Egerer, Chapter Administrator atchapter2@iiachaptercommunications.orgor 248.760.8333.
