Audit Ethics will discuss and explore issues auditors face, including cybersecurity, remote work,
and Artificial Intelligence (AI) that provide opportunities for ethical successes or failures. In this
two-hour session, several thought-provoking issues will be discussed to help attendees adopt a
culture that promotes positive ethical results. Please bring your questions!
Bio: Stephen Minder CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, CGMA
Mr. Minder has more than 45 years of experience in Internal Auditing, Management and
Accounting. Mr. Minder has held a number of leadership positions including Information
Technology Auditor – Illinois Supreme Court, Founding Partner – YCN Group, LLC, Corporate
Compliance Officer and Audit Director – ADM and others.
Mr. Minder’s experience includes consulting with clients in banking, manufacturing, government,
etc. to assist in improving internal audit operations and improve IT/business processes and
controls. I/A Quality Software Tool Development, QAIP Assessments and Independent External
Validations Establishing a Corporate Compliance and Ethics Program. Performing
comprehensive Data Analytics to improve audit effectiveness, conducting fraud and integrity
investigations, etc.
Mr. Minder Served in various leadership capacities with the Central Illinois Chapter of the IIA
and Illinois Chapter of ISACA. He has been involved in IIA International Activities for over 30
years including member of Advanced Technology Committee, IIARF Board of Research
Advisors, Seminars Committee, Global Ethics and Professional Responsibilities Committee and
the IIARF Board of Trustees. He served as Treasurer of the IIARF for 6 years and participated
in IIA Investment and Global Finance committees.
