The IIA Vancouver Chapter and the ISACA Vancouver Chapter are pleased to announce an event on Inclusive Leadership.
Join us for an interesting discussion on Inclusive Leadership by internal audit and IT community leaders. These leaders will reflect on their experience and share their perspective on inclusive leadership. This event includes a presentation by an Inclusion, Equity and Diversity consultant, a panel discussion and networking opportunity. Refreshments and food will be provided.
This session will include topics such as:
1. What is diversity, equity and inclusion? Why is it important?
2. What is inclusive leadership?
3. Personal experience and reflection on inclusiveness.
4. Benefits and challenges of creating an inclusive environment.
5. Strategies and initiatives leaders can implement to create an inclusive environment within their departments and organizations.

SPEAKER
Tiffany Mintah is a leadership and organizational development professional with expertise in people and culture, team development, and change management. She has over a decade of experience leading teams and designing programs that foster high-performing environments.
Tiffany spent 10 years in Student Affairs at the University of British Columbia (UBC), where she applied an equity and inclusion lens to policy and strategic plan development, including her work on the UBC President’s Taskforce on Anti-Racism and Inclusive Excellence. Her academic research during her Master’s in Leadership Studies explored race, power, and privilege in higher education.
Currently, Tiffany serves as an embedded learning and development specialist at a Vancouver-based biotech company, where she leverages her expertise to support organizational growth and team effectiveness.
PANELISTS
Rav Thind, CPA, CA, CIA, CFE
Rav Thind has more than 29 years of experience in Finance and Audit. He is currently the Executive Director of Internal Audit and Fraud Risk Management at Fraser Health Authority, where he is also the Public Interest Disclosure Act (PIDA) Designated Officer. In addition to audit experience at a number of health authorities, he was Director of Accounting Services at First Nations Health Authority where he oversaw Financial Reporting, Payroll, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax and other related functions. Rav has also overseen audit departments in the post-secondary sector and in the Ministry of Finance, where he led Vancouver and Toronto teams, was Chair of the Audit Working Committee, Chair of the Continuous Improvement Committee and led Business Continuity Management.
Rav is currently the Advocacy Chair of the Vancouver Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors. In his spare time, he enjoys working out, the odd ski day, painting or sketching and walking the family labradoodle.
Edwin Yau, CPA, CISA, CIA, CRISC, PMP
Edwin Yau: Director at Deloitte in IT & Specialized Assurance. In addition to being involved in DEI initiatives and hiring for the Vancouver team, he volunteers for Immigrant Economic Council of BC (IEC-BC) to provide 1-on-1 mentoring to skilled immigrants to help them build connections, understand the local culture and break into the job market.
Farzin Ismail
Farzin Ismail: VP, Global Risk & Advisory Services, Lululemon. She is a seasoned executive with over 25 years of experience in internal audit and risk management. She is recognized as a leader that is able to deliver results through collaboration with cross functional business partners, develop high performance teams and design solutions that address both strategic objectives and enhance risk management. She is skilled at educating senior leaders and executives on risk assessment, management and governance.
Farzin is a UBC alumnus (BComm, MIS Program). Currently, she leads lululemon's Global Risk & Advisory services team which is responsible for the internal audit and risk management functions for the Canadian retailer. Previously, she was at RB Global Inc, an auction and marketplace services company for industrial equipment and vehicles, where she held several roles - finance transformation, ESG/sustainability, and internal audit & risk management.
Nazanin Rezvani
Nazanin Rezvani: With over 15 years of experience in IT, including a decade specializing in cybersecurity, Nazanin Rezvani has built a reputation as a trusted advisor and strategic leader in the field. Her expertise comes from working with top consulting firms such as Deloitte, EY, and KPMG, where she guided clients in enhancing cybersecurity postures. Nazanin developed deep expertise in SIEM and the management of Security Operation Centers (SOC), establishing herself as a subject matter expert in these areas. Building on this solid foundation, Nazanin transitioned to the product world as a Cybersecurity Architect at Microsoft. In this role, she has empowered clients to design and implement robust security architecture for cloud and hybrid environments. Beyond her professional achievements, Nazanin is passionate about mentoring and community engagement. She serves as a mentor in the UBC Computer Science Industry Mentoring Program and as a part-time instructor at Vancouver Community College (VCC), where she teaches the Cybersecurity Governance, Risk, and Compliance Post-Degree Diploma program, sharing her industry knowledge with the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.
