The IIA Chicago Chapter invites you to An Introduction to Information Technology General Controls (ITGCs) with Chris Stoneley.
In today’s digital world, effective ITGCs are critical for safeguarding an organization’s information systems, data, and assets. This 3.5-hour class is designed to equip professionals with an introduction to the foundational knowledge, skills, and practical insights needed to understand, implement, and audit ITGC frameworks within various business environments.
Whether you’re an IT auditor, risk manager, compliance officer, or IT professional, this course provides a basic understanding of IT governance, internal controls, and compliance requirements as they relate to IT systems. By the end of the class, you will have the basic knowledge necessary to begin to assess, design, and implement ITGC processes that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

About the Speaker:
Chris Stoneley
Chris Stoneley is a highly qualified governance, risk management, and compliance program executive with extensive experience, and demonstrated effectiveness in designing, implementing, and leading Information Technology & Information Security practices through Audit and Global Risk Management programs for large financial institutions. He leverages a unique combination of information technology knowledge, analytical/intelligence skills, and practical financial services experience to drive innovative and effective governance, risk, and compliance solutions. Chris currently holds the position of Chief Information Security Officer at Cathay Bank.
Attendance Policy

NOTICE of Cancellation/ Refund Policy: Due to costs incurred for seminars, cancellations for the will only be accepted if notice of cancellation is received by the IIA Chicago’s Registrar via e-mail or phone by 12:00 pm Noon on May 13, 2025. The IIA e-mail is registrar@iiachicago.com and phone number is (312) 642-4000. Paid registrations cancelled by the deadline will be refunded and outstanding payment registrations will be closed.
