Program Description: Ethics and Fraud in Government
Craig will give perspective on what to look for in our audits through case studies on fraud in Nebraska. We will then spend time walking through several case studies showing want can happen when people make unethical decisions and reasons why.
Presented By: Craig Kubicek, CPA, CFE
Craig Kubicek is the Deputy Auditor for the State of Nebraska and has been with the Auditor’s Office since 2005. He received his undergraduate and Master of Professional Accountancy degrees from the University of Nebraska- Lincoln. Craig is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner. He is also a member of the Nebraska Society and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Since working for the Auditor’s Office, he has investigated numerous fraud, waste, and abuse cases involving cities, villages, state agencies, state fairs, daycare, non-profits, and counties. Craig resides in Lincoln with his wife Toni and four children.
