Description:
As Artificial Intelligence (AI) becomes increasingly embedded in organizations, security and compliance risks are emerging at an accelerated pace. The rush to implement AI has outpaced efforts to secure its use, leaving many organizations vulnerable. Regulations such as the European Union AI Act and the identification of critical security risks in commonly used models have made AI security governance an urgent priority for organizational leadership.
To navigate this landscape, organizations must understand existing AI regulations and establish a structured roadmap to compliance—one that prioritizes AI security governance. The first step in building an effective AI security governance program is identifying and tracking risks across all layers, including environmental, organizational, and system-level threats. AI risk management must be an ongoing process.
Organizations must then define AI use objectives, inventory use cases, and develop a strategic roadmap supported by robust policies and procedures. As AI adoption evolves, these governance frameworks should be continuously updated to reflect emerging risks and regulatory changes. Additionally, organizations must establish secure processes for procuring, developing, and implementing AI technologies.
In this session, experts from Echelon Risk + Cyber will explore common AI security risks, the evolving regulatory landscape, and best practices for AI governance. Attendees will gain actionable insights into mitigating AI-related risks and developing a roadmap to compliance.
Learning Objectives: By the end of the session, attendees will be able to:
Recognize the unique and emerging security risks of AI and understand their impact across organizational, environmental, and system layers.
Identify and mitigate common AI security vulnerabilities to ensure responsible and secure AI implementation.
Navigate the complex regulatory landscape by understanding key compliance requirements, including the European Union AI Act and other emerging frameworks.
Develop a strategic roadmap for AI governance, including risk management practices, security policies, and procurement guidelines to achieve AI compliance.
