Topic: Dealing with Change in the Workplace
Presenter: Dr. Kay Potetz
Overview: During this session, you will gain a better understanding of how not only you, but your colleagues at all levels may handle change. This ultimately determines the overall success of a change and its overall sustainability.
Learning Objective(s):
Develop a better understanding of:
People's Fear of Change.
The power of perceptions when dealing with change.
How we experience change and why we resist it.
Some thoughts about dealing with change.
Bio: Dr. Kay Potetz is a management consultant and has been conducting seminars since the early 1980s. Her qualifications include 25 years of management and administrative experience, a Masters Degree in Business Administration and a Ph.D.
Dr. Potetz began her career in hospital work as a Radiological Technologist and moved on to Nuclear Medicine Technology. She is registered with the American Colleges of Radiological and Nuclear Medicine Technologies.
After many years in health care, Dr. Potetz moved from the hospital environment to teaching. Her last position was that of Vice President of a Cleveland Hospital. She introduced her company, Dr. Kay Potetz & Associates in the late 1980s.
She is also an Executive Coach and holds a certificate in Developing Leadership through Emotional Intelligence from CASE Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and is a graduate of the Hay Group Emotional and Social Competency Inventory (ESCI) Accreditation Program. In addition, she is a certified Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) instructor.
Dr. Potetz is featured as an expert source and news commentator on powerful radio stations across the country including top rated CBS Radio affiliates WBBM, Chicago, WTOP Washington, DC, KRLD Dallas, KDKA Pittsburgh, as well as national shows such as Wall Street Journal This Morning.
In addition to coaching and conducting seminars, Dr. Potetz is an adjunct faculty member at Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio and serves as a consultant for Kent State University’s Center for Corporate and Professional Development.
She published her book, “Take It Back: The Personal Power You Give Away Each Day.” in September 2012.

Topic: From Start to Storytelling – Everything You Need to Know to Further Your Brand
Presenter: Robert (Rob) Alberino Jr., Vice President of Content & Production, KC Chiefs
Overview: The game plan for this session includes a “4-quarter” approach to gaining insights into storytelling, the ability to brand, and understanding knowing your audience helps drive branding.

Understand the basics of effective storytelling, including what it takes to tell a story and what questions the need to be asked to tell that story.
Distinguish the key components of the Idea Cycle to provide a quality story to your audience.
Acquire insights into how perspective and culture may impact the deliver and receipt of your story.
Bio:Robert Alberino, Jr. re-joined the Chiefs in 2021 as the Vice President of Content and Production after originally serving as the club's Vice President of Media and Marketing for four years (2010-13). He enters his eighth season with the club and his 3oth season in the NFL in 2024.
Alberino leads all content efforts, including creation and distribution across the club's traditional, digital, social and over-the-top platforms. He also oversees all aspects of game production, presentation and entertainment elements at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
The 2022 season was the first time that Alberino oversaw a new division of production which helped launch the team and the brand into new international markets, as well as complete special projects and new long-form concepts. These efforts were delivered with best-in-class content to Chiefs fans in Germany and Mexico, helping grow Chiefs Kingdom overseas as well as expand the NFL's international fanbase.
In his first stint with the franchise, Alberino oversaw the club's media partnerships and creation of the in-house production team, 65 Toss Power Trap Productions, as well as the team's digital operations on Chiefs.com while playing a key role in the club's marketing initiatives. Under Alberino's direction, 65TPT garnered the franchise's first 18 Emmy Awards, as well as became the first NFL club to win a prestigious New York Festival Award.
He spent eight seasons (2013-20) as Vice President/Executive Producer for the San Francisco 49ers between his stops in Kansas City. With San Francisco, Alberino oversaw all marketing, creative and design, as well as the launch and direction of 49ers Studios, the team's in-house production division. His group created all multimedia and broadcasts across all platforms, while he managed branding, events, social media and new media efforts.
Prior to joining the Chiefs in 2010, Alberino spent 13 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles (1997-2009) as Vice President of Broadcasting where he helped launch the Eagles Television Network, earning 38 Regional Emmys and more than 100 Tellys and other regional accolades. He spent three years (1995-97) as a filmmaker/producer with NFL Films where he was a writer/director for HBO's "Inside the NFL."
In 2012, while with the Chiefs, Alberino was bestowed an honorary enlistment in the United States Army and continues to pay forward the honor by continually working alongside all branches of the military. He sits on the Board of Directors for The First Twenty, a non-profit dedicated to improving the performance, health and safety of the American First Responder.

The Chapter reserves the right to cancel an event due to insufficient participation or other unforeseen circumstances. If the Chapter cancels an event, the Chapter will notify registered attendees by e-mail a week prior to the event. Paid registrations will be refunded. No refunds will be granted for individual initiated cancelations. However, cancellations received prior to the posted registration deadline will receive a credit to attend a future meeting/seminar within one year. (Same number of CPE as the one canceled.) Event registrations are always transferable, so substitutions are allowed if are unable to attend. The chapter will make every effort to offer timely, well-delivered, and relevant training program. Please contact the IIA Secretary to register complaints related to the timeliness/accuracy of CPE credit reporting and the VP of Programs (Jamie.Paul@umb.com) regarding program delivery, complaints, or program content.
