Mastering the Machine: AI 101 for Internal Auditors
 

Welcome as we host a series on Artificial Intelligence (AI) entitled Mastering the Machine.

This is a 4-part series during the month of September.  You can attend all 4, or individual sessions.  All sessions are from 10am - 12pm (Central time) on the designated dates.  There is a discount if you register for the entire series that is the equivalent of registering for three sessions and getting the fourth for free.  So you can register for the full series if you are able to attend three or four, or you can register for individual sessions if you plan to attend one or two.

    • Learn about neural networks, the architecture of deep learning models, and natural language processing

    • Understand how AI-driven analytics and predictive modeling can support better decision-making processes in various areas of the business
    • Explore the role of AI in automating routine and repetitive tasks
    • Discover how AI can be utilized to identify and mitigate risks, detect fraudulent activities, and ensure compliance

Elizabeth McDowell, CPA, CIA has nearly 20 years of audit experience and is the founder of Audit Forward, an innovative internal audit consulting and training firm. Elizabeth is passionate about advancing and advocating for the internal audit profession and was recently recognized as one of the 2023 Internal Audit Beacons by Richard Chambers. Elizabeth makes auditing and training fun (no, really!) with the help of her mascot, Audie the Internal Otteror. In addition to training and consulting, Elizabeth is an adjunct Professor of Accounting at Front Range Community College.

Elizabeth’s most recent industry experience was at Achieve, where she was Sr. Director, Audit Strategy; prior to that, she held internal audit leadership roles at Elevations Credit Union, Fidelity Investments, and Xcel Energy after first starting her career at Ernst & Young.
