This is an in-person event .   There will not be a virutal option available.

Parking:  Parking is available at several pay lots around the Petroleum Club building.  Valet parking is also available at the Petroleum Club building for $15 with a stamp from the registration desk.

Seminar Description:  This full-day hands-on training will teach actionable data analytics techniques that anyone can implement. Participants will learn the basics of PowerQuery, as well as receive an overview of AI and how itrelates to internal audit.

In this session, participants will learn:

  • How to perform data analytics in all steps ofthe audit process
  • The essentials of Power Query - what it is and how to start using it
  • The fundamentals of AI technologies and options
  • Considerations forinternal auditors and AI best practices

  • Data Analytics Through the Audit
    • Understand what analytics can be performed in audit planning
    • Use planning analytics to drive testing strategy in fieldwork
    • Identify "quick win" data analytics that can improve all parts of the audit process
  • Power Query aka “Get and Transform”
    • Improve your efficiency with an understanding of Power Query
    • Learn the basics of Power Query and start saving time on analytics!
  • Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence
    • Understand the basic definitions and distinctions between AI, machine learning, deep learning, and data science
    • How AI has evolved and where it’s headed
    • Learn various the AI models available and how they are used in practice
  • AI Best Practices
    • Understand the role of AI in risk management, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating associated risks
    • Learn about governance frameworks and best practices for overseeing AI initiatives
