This session will provide a business view on how companies can leverage a top-down or bottom-up approach to data governance. This will provide the background and tools for auditors and management to establish a governance program and assess it.
Presented By: Chris Rogge, Manager, Risk Consulting, RSM
Chris is a manager at RSM with seven years of experience in the Risk Consulting group specializing in financial institutions related to internal audit, governance and security. Chris specializes in IT and security operational assessments with a specialization in top-down IT risk assessments and data governance services to clients in a variety of industries. These services overseeing testing fieldwork and preparing beneficial deliverables to fulfill clients’ needs. In his current role, he helps clients prepare and comply with a variety of security standards and delivers consultation regarding business process improvements to help the client improve compliance with current regulatory requirements and industry-specific best practices. Below are examples of companies where Chris has performed risk assessment and data governance services.
Business transformation to comply with new accounting standards for Global 500 insurance company.
Internal audit support for Fortune 200 industrial organization focused on regulations related to DOD, IRS and EPA requirements.
