IIA Twin Cities Event Hosted by Protiviti: Elevating Internal Audit with Design Thinking

Design Thinking is a process and a mindset. It is also a human-centered approach to innovation. At its core, Design Thinking is about solving problems efficiently and effectively. In this session, you will learn about the behaviors and methods used by designers to empower innovation, prioritize effectively, and ultimately solve the many problems and challenges that impact our daily work. You will also then apply Design Thinking concepts to internal audit case studies and scenarios to help ensure you can take these skills back to your office and begin to realize the benefits.

Learning Objectives:

By attending this session, attendees will be able to:

  • Identify, describe, and give examples of how design thinking methods and behaviors can be applied to actual situations

  • Be presented a challenge statement and “Solve” the challenge using the Design Thinking Model

  • Apply Design Thinking Model to other challenges in their departments
