About Our Book Clubs

The Leadership Institute will offer book clubs throughout the year. They will be virtual and supported by centers and Leadership Institute partners. The aim of the Leadership Institute Book Clubs is to create multicultural, intergenerational spaces where participants can delve further into texts, while learning alongside people from a multitude of social locations.

The timing of this book club is intentional before the 2024 Sprunt Lectures, to be held May 6-8. More information about the Sprunt Lectures will be available soon from the Alumni Office.

Format

Reading: Circling the Elephant: A Comparative Theology of Religious Diversity, a book by John J. Thatamanil

Description: Join us as we read from the 2024 Sprunt Lecturer, Dr. John J. Thatamanil, and delve into the ways that we learn more about Christianity when it is in conversation with other faiths.
