Learning Objectives
After attending this seminar, participants should be able to:
Determine leading practices over vulnerability, threat and patch management and how to apply these to their control environment.
Revisit of the concept of technology governance, gain an understanding of the framework and drivers for an effective governance as well as the key risk consideration for IT internal audit.
Understand applicability of the latest SEC regulations related to cybersecurity disclosure as well as Zero Trust Architecture and their potential impact on the organization and examine how the internal audit function can improve communications with internal IT stakeholders regarding cybersecurity risks.
Panel discussion on how an effective staff development program should look like, and how to develop and retain staff and leverage your development program in hiring high potential team members and many more.
Understand how to apply data analytics to assess risks on key performance indicators and metrics.
Be knowledgeable of the current AI technology landscape, able to articulate the AI opportunities, limitations, and risks for assessment.
Investigate the apparent disconnect between internal audit’s assessment of cyber and other IT risks and the level of resources allocated by audit to those risks and explore opportunities for internal audit to increase its effectiveness in both validating cyber risks and providing assurance regarding the effectiveness of cyber controls intended to mitigate them.
Outline IT asset management (ITAM) trends, including potential control gaps in the IT asset management process and understand how to leverage the leading ITAM framework to execute assessments over the ITAM process.
Continuing Professional Education (CPE)
CPE credit: 8 (Auditing)
In order to be awarded the full credits, you must respond to polling questions during the event. Eligibility and awarding of CPE is determined after the program. CPE certificates are expected to be distributed within 2 weeks after the event.
