Program

Fatigue is very common in patients with blood cancers. Cancer-related fatigue (CRF) is characterized by excessive and persistent exhaustion that interferes with daily activity and function. CRF often begins before cancer is diagnosed, worsens during the course of treatment and may persist for months - even years - after treatment ends.

Participants will gain a better understanding of cancer related fatigue and the effects it has on a blood cancer patient. Our speaker, Michelle Kirschner, will discuss strategies to help manage fatigue and practical ways to develop their own personalized care plan to address fatigue.

In addition to learning about fatigue, participants will learn about the resources available in their community and those provided by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Cancer Support Community. We encourage you to invite your caregiver and family members!
