In these activities, we will explore how students can create Mars exploration games and think like NASA space-mission planners. Students will design the games using the Scratch programming language. Students will engage in computational thinking, use math and include elements of real rover-mission planning to design their game. We will also create a video game that lets players explore the Red Planet with a helicopter like the one that is on the Mars Perseverance Rover.  This lesson is also available as an independent activity for students. No previous experience is needed  to be successful with these activities.
