Background

The International Society for Telemedicine and eHealth (ISfTeH) is a federation of some 45 national professional associations in the Telemedicine and eHealth space. The Society also has Institutional members, corporate members and individual members in another 35 countries around the world. Our mission is to facilitate the international dissemination of knowledge and experience in Telemedicine and eHealth and to provide access to recognized experts in the field worldwide.With a footprint in over 80 countries on six continents, we aim to raise the profile of eHealth worldwide, through advocacy activities, and to translate such advocacy gains into health benefits on the ground for people.

 Purpose

The World Telemedicine and eHealth Forum (WTeHF), which will be complemented by the World Telemedicine and eHealth Trophy (WTeHT) Awards Ceremony, is aimed at enhancing international dialogue and global cooperation on key aspects of the ICT for health industry.We will achieve this by: a) knowledge dissemination; b) connecting customers and seller; and c) having fun in the Abu Dhabi sun.

 Vision

We expect the WTeHF&WTeHT to become the world’s largest and most important annual Telemedicine & m-eHealth event, the must go for all professionals active in the field of Telemedicine and m-eHealth.

 Why attend the WTeHF&WTeHT event?

What best distinguishes ISfTeH events, as demonstrated by Med-e-Tel is the people. Every year at least 50 countries are represented. With attendance of 400 – 600 participants, on average, every tenth person one meets at Med-e-Tel is from yet another country. The message is clear. The WTeHF is the place to move your professional network building into high gear.

Content

The WTeHF will cover current and comprehensive information on the state of the art in the use of ICT as well as provide unprecedented networking opportunities.

 

Fields covered by the keynotes, panel discussions, presentations and exhibits, will include:

• Research
• Case studies, examples
• Knowledge sharing - successes and failures; the “How”, e.g. how to adapt solutions from elsewhere to solve local problems
• Areas of interest to local professionals (as most participants will be from the Middle East) – see health plans of countries of the region
• Primary care 

Target Audience

We expect to attract between 500 and 1,000 senior industry executives, government officials and policy makers from across the globe, offering the most. The congress that will provide a forum for meaningful interactions among participants from various stakeholder groups – Academia, government, industry, and civil society. It will attract policy and decision-makers, healthcare managers, service providers, researchers, product manufacturers, solutions developers and end users.
