2015 Knowledge Academy

Excisable Products & Illicit Trade ( 22-23 June 2015, 2 days)

Excise taxation and illicit trade will be the focus of the module developed by expert in Excise Products and Illicit Trade, Liz Allen with the support of the WCO Secretariat. The aim of the module is to increase the awareness of Customs officials about excise tax policy, administration, enforcement and illicit trade issues from different perspectives.

On Day Two, business representatives, the International Chamber of Commerce, and the European spirits trade association will present delegates with their particular perspectives on illicit trade and suppliers of “Track and Trace” technology for excisable products.

The intention is to present delegates with a wide range of views on the subject of illicit trade in excisable products so that they can have deeper understanding of the issues facing their senior managers when having to find a way forward through often conflicting positions and pressures.
