IMPORTANT INFORMATION for all delegates and sponsors. You will be required to confirm that you have read this page when registering or sponsoring.
- The summit is being organised by CAPA – Centre for Aviation (‘CAPA’), a specialist aviation industry intelligence and research practice headquartered in Sydney. CAPA convenes several such events every year in all corners of the world. The summit will be managed by a team based at head office in Australia and will be run on a commercial basis in line with all other events.
- Following the signing of the historic Joint Comprehensive Protocol of Action (JCPOA) in Jul-2015, sanctions related to Iran’s nuclear programme are expected to be lifted in the coming months. This summit will bring together all of the key decision-makers from Iran with leading figures from the global community to help shape the direction of Iran’s aviation industry in a post-sanctions environment.
- Except for certain interim relief measures, most sanctions will continue to remain in force until the implementation of the JCPOA, the date of which is as yet unknown.
- As a result, the CAPA Iran Aviation Summit is a forum for information gathering and networking only and business transactions may be restricted by sanctions.
- While CAPA has sought advice with respect to our own compliance with sanctions regulations in convening this Summit, CAPA takes no responsibility for the status or activities of participants, nor their consequences.
- Delegates and sponsors must seek their own legal advice on the nature of activities in which they may or may not engage. The defined activities vary from country to country.
- Delegate and sponsorship fees will be paid to CAPA’s bank account in Australia. Any profit generated by the event will accrue solely to CAPA and will be retained in Australia.
- No. CAPA will only generate revenue from foreign delegates and sponsors and will not receive any funds from Iran or from any Iranian companies or organisations.
- No. CAPA will not transfer any funds to Iran.
- Yes. The Iran Airports Company (IAC) and the Iran Civil Aviation Organization (CAO) are the official hosts for the summit.
- IAC and CAO will provide local support to CAPA in terms of ensuring the participation of the key decision-makers from across the Iranian aviation sector. This arrangement is strictly non-commercial and no funds will be transferred in either direction.
