Bio
Mike serves as Director of Training and Risk Management for the Alabama Rural Electric Association. He is responsible for training cooperative employees as well as several municipalities in Alabama and the panhandle of Florida. My responsibility also includes coordination and management of moving available crews and equipment during natural disasters. Alabama has moved thousands of men and hundreds of pieces of equipment over the last 15 years under my supervision. He has also been employed by two electric distribution cooperatives where he served as Assistant CEO, Safety & Training, and Marketing & Public Relations. His professional experience also includes service as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserves where he have served as a Maintenance Test Pilot and a Medivac Pilot. He served a one year tour of duty in Iraq with the 4th Infantry Division. Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Psychology from Shippensburg University, Shippensburg, PA.
