Bio

Vincent J. Michael, D.M.D., F.I.C.O.I. earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Connecticut at Storrs, and a Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine at the UConn Health Center in Farmington. The University of Connecticut Dental School consistently ranks as a top dental school and ranked #1 when Dr. Michael graduated in 2003. Passionate about the importance of continuing education, Dr. Michael has done extensive advanced training in cosmetics, implants, oral surgery and anesthesia. He is a certified Invisalign provider and a certified Mini Dental Implant provider. 

Dr. Michael currently serves as a part-time academic faculty member at UConn Dental School. Dr. Michael is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Connecticut State Dental Association, the New Haven Dental Association, and the Shoreline Study Club.Dr. Michael is also a member in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, a worldwide organization whose members have made a commitment to continuous study and training in the field of Implantology. He was awarded Fellowship status, an honor ICOI bestows on a dental professional who has demonstrated an exceptional interest in the advancement of Implant Dentistry by pursuing voluntary programs that evaluate and test their knowledge of implant dentistry by experts in the field. ICOI Fellows have been recognized by their peers and are local leaders as well as global ambassadors. 

Accordingly, Dr. Michael enjoys and has a strong focus on implant restorations, from simple to complex cases. As a dental student, Dr. Michael was awarded the Community Service Award which recognizes contributions to the local community in the area of oral health. This spirit of volunteerism has continued over the years, with Dr. Michael volunteering his time and dental expertise locally and abroad. Every year, he proudly participates in the CT Mission of Mercy, providing free dental care to any patient in need. He has worked at the Connecticut Special Olympics, the Southpark Homeless Shelter, and area senior centers. Abroad, Dr. Michael has volunteered under the auspice of the Haitian Health Foundation, providing dental care to the remote villages of Haiti.
