Description: Do Mini-Dental implants have a place in your dental practice? I have found they are NOT a “simpler, easier, less expensive” alternative to a conventional implant, but they can be very useful. When they are safe and predictable to use? How do you handle failures? Several case studies will be used showing successful cases using MDI’s, some failures, a case converting an MDI-supported RPD into an implant supported fixed bridge, and cases with mixtures of both.

- Determining if there is a place for the MDI in your practice.
- Defining what is “success.”
- How to handle a broken/failed MDI.
- Converting an integrated MDI into a traditional implant.
- The reality of placing an MDI vs placing a conventional implant.
