It is with great pleasure that we invite you to participate in the 2017 NSW State Conference.
After the overwhelming positive feedback from our last State conference we are pleased to announce that it will be held at Doltone House, Darling Island Wharf for a second year in a row!! We sold out last year, so please book early.
Doltone House – Darling Island Wharf is a spectacular waterfront venue on the foreshore of Sydney Harbour, with views of the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and magical city skyline. Enjoy the great food – and yes they bought new chairs.
The Conference provides a wonderful opportunity to network with other likeminded, passionate and committed people working across the aged care sector.
We offer a number of fabulous networking opportunities within the exhibition space and a Gala dinner.
The theme of our conference is ‘Visionary, Relational, Authentic - Leaders for our Future'. This reflects how important our leaders are as we race along the road of the aged care reforms. We encourage you to come along and hear from our speakers on the changing landscape of aged care and our communities, and share your ideas about our destinations and journeys. Our Aged Care providers and senior managers will be leading the way into the future.
Our conference program will covers all aspects of leadership in the workplace, featuring the importance of diversity and what makes a great team. We have invited Candy Tymson to speak on the ‘Women in leadership – does your communication style help or hinder you?’ How does gender impact on whether your message is heard?’
Craig Rispin will speak on ‘How to lead in a changing world’. The program will provide some practical examples of ‘How to deal with the media – what to say, when, how & knowing what not to say’. How do you support and protect your staff through difficult times?
ACSA have also secured a number of high profile speakers that are aimed to inspire you and arm you with valuable take home messages.
We hope to impress you with people like Andrew O'Keeffe our keynote speaker, who is the director of Hardwired Humans and helps organisations align their leadership practices to human instincts (check him out on http://hardwiredhumans.com/)
Andrew O'Keeffe will also be hosting a special pre-conference workshop on the 9 essentials for leading change using human instincts. This hands on workshop will apply what actually happens when people hear about change, and provide insightful and practical ways to lead change. His workshop has limited spaces so be quick to secure your spot!!
The Conference will be of interest primarily to senior staff including Chief Executive Officers, Chief Operating Officers, Chief Financial Officers, Chief Information Officers Board Directors, Directors of Nursing, Facility Managers, Procurement Officers, Client Services Managers and Business Development Managers
