Proposals feature information sharing as a means to improve security, but lack specificity. Leaning on the analogous public good oriented field of public health, we derive a set of four principles to guide information sharing practices that promote goals yet preserve organizational interests, & conclude with recommendations to guide practitioners on how to share security data in a responsible way.
