Providing and supporting more Open Source software on OpenVMS is an integral component of VSI's roadmap for the future of the OpenVMS operating system. In this talk Brett will present details of VSI's current plans and activities around Open Source, including details of Open Source products that VSI are intending to port and support, additional services that will be provided to help OpenVMS users to make best possible use of available Open Source technologies, and information on how VSI intends to work with the wider community around Open Source initiatives. The material presented will be based on VSI's understanding of customer requirements and expectations, and input from the audience will be appreciated in order to help validate (or otherwise) and refine this understanding.
