Before starting Austin Cocktails, Jill spent the last twenty years building a professional career in marketing and public relations. She developed her PR and marketing expertise at reknown sports agency Steinberg and Moorad, where she handled athlete endorsements, public relations, media relations, and production of events. Eventually, this expertise led Jill to open her own company in San Francisco, Jill Peterson Management (JPM), where she continued to work with Steinberg and Moorad, but also a number of top tier local and national clients including StubHub and Veritas Software. Important for the future of Austin Cocktails, one of Jill’s clients at was a start-up beverage company. Ultimately, her extensive work with that client inspired the inception of Austin Cocktails and subsequently helped shape the flavor and the quality of the company’s signature drinks. A native Texan, Jill splits her time between Austin and California, where she attended college at Santa Clara University and played on the women’s golf team. At Austin Cocktails, she oversees drink development, packaging design, branding and marketing.

Kelly Gasink is a co-founder of Austin Cocktails and oversees a diverse portfolio of responsibilities at Austin Cocktails including sales, distributor and retailer management, drink development, finance, and operations. Prior to Austin Cocktails, Kelly co-founded two successful software companies. While building those companies, she took on everything from writing business plans and drafting technical white papers to landing first customers and managing employees to overseeing contracts and securing funding. Both businesses were acquired by publicly traded companies, and Kelly stayed on well passed each acquisition. For her early entrepreneurial successes, the Wall Street Journal named her one of its “Faces of a New Generation of Leaders and Entrepreneurs.” Kelly graduated from Stanford with degrees in Economics and Latin American Studies and later earned a Masters in Public Policy at Harvard. Kelly has spoken at many events such as the Texas Conference for Women and University of Texas Spirits Conference and has been featured in local and national TV and print media.
