‘Find an Apprenticeship Training Provider’
– The National Apprenticeship Service launches an online search tool (for employers to access and identify Apprenticeship training provision)

Date: Wednesday, 10 April 2013
Time: 2pm - 3pm

Overview:

This webinar is designed to inform providers about the functionality of the tool and the information that employers can search on. In addition to this, providers will understand the search results that will be displayed based on providers previous delivery, and the profiles that they have entered on the online Apprenticeships Vacancies system. The webinar will involve a walk through of the search tool and offer providers the opportunity to ask questions. The search tool will be accessible from the NAS website www.apprenticeships.org and launched in March.

Objectives:

In response to one of the key recommendations in the Jason Holt Review of Apprenticeships, the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) is developing an online search tool ‘Find an Apprenticeship Training Provider’. This tool will allow employers to access and identify Apprenticeship training provision against a range of search criteria, and is designed to ensure employers have improved access to training providers.

Employers will be able to search on:

• Job Title (keyword) linked to frameworks
• Geographical location
• Apprenticeship level (optional)

The search results will also show:

• The overall success rate for that particular training provider
• The provider’s success rates for the framework shown
• The national success rates for that framework as a comparison
• Description of the provider’s offer and contact details drawn from the provider’s Apprenticeship Vacancies (AV) profile
(allowing employers to contact training providers directly)

• The NAS number will be displayed at all times offering the employer the option to speak to an advisor, if they have further
  queries

• A link to the FE Choices provider comparison site for more information

The primary purpose of the search tool is to allow employers to source and contact Apprenticeship training providers via the information provided on the web tool. As the training provider’s contact details will be taken from their AV profiles NAS are urging all providers to check their current AV profiles are accurate and up to date.
