The tournament this year will be held at the Grand Canyon University Golf Course in Phoenix.

Grand Canyon University proudly presents the GCU Golf Course masterfully redesigned by renowned course architect John Fought. Using sublime artistry and expert craftsmanship, Fought transformed the golf course into a golfer’s dream playground where golf novices and pros alike can enjoy perfecting their game. The reinvented GCU Golf Course provides a lush oasis of green fairways and mature trees nestled in West Phoenix. As part of a 30-year operating agreement with the City of Phoenix, GCU Golf Course invites the public, GCU community, local residents, student-athletes and vacationers to experience one-of-a-kind, affordable golf in Phoenix. The GCU Golf Course in Phoenix endeavors to enhance the local community with upscale, yet affordable recreation, provide a learning environment for GCU business students and serve as the home for GCU golf student-athletes. Our mission is to position the golf course as a community and university asset. A modern John Fought redesign and world-class amenities in association with Grand Canyon University aim to establish the neighborhood of Maryvale as a premier Phoenix golf destination. Visit the public golf course to play a round of golf, check out an amateur event or college tournament, relax at the clubhouse, soak in the Arizona sunshine on the restaurant patio or host your next fundraiser. Escape to Phoenix for accessible world-class golfing right in the heart of Phoenix.

The tournament celebrates the memory of Assistant Chief Steve Alley who was an active AFCA member and coordinated the conference golf tournament for many years.  A portion of the proceeds from the tournament go to support the Arizona L.A.S.T. (Local Assistance State Team) which provides assistance to any Arizona Fire Service Agency in the event of a department related death.

The tournament is a traditional "no handicap", best ball, shot gun start tournament. Individual, twosome and foursome registrations are allowed.  Prizes are provided for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams, longest drive, closest to the pin and longest put.
