Moran is a graduate student in the Lifelong Kindergarten group at MIT Media Lab. A software engineer, and a passionate educator, she is interested in making technology more accessible and friendlier to everyone, especially underrepresented groups. Her current research focuses on using technology to empower learners to create and express themselves through Scratch (scratch.mit.edu), a programming language and online community where kids can create stories, animations and games. She investigates different ways to motivate learning in Scratch and to make it easier to start coding and creating.
