Pei-Chen Peng is currently a 3rd year PhD student in Department of Computer Science at University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, advised by Prof. Saurabh Sinha. She is interested in computational approaches to problems in molecular biology. Her research interest focuses on designing models based on biophysical principles and machine learning techniques to understand how genes are regulated. Her works fall in the area of comparative and regulatory genomics. She was awarded Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship in 2012.
