Asmita is a highly passionate computer engineer, holding a degree from University of Pune. She started off her career in 2003 in Veritas Software (later became Symantec and now Veritas again) and has been working for about 13 years in Clustering and Storage domains. She has worked on research products in clustering with focus on High Availability, Fast Failover, Stateful and Transparent failover as well as on enterprise products in storage area like Cluster File System and Volume Manager part of Veritas Storage Foundation. Currently, working on Veritas's upcoming storage solution for private clouds, specifically OpenStack. Apart from computing and technology, her other interests are painting and sports.
